Position Summary

National Demolition Remediation Contractor seeks a Project Manager for oversight of large-scale asbestos abatement and demolition projects. Must be able to read and understand project plans and specifications. Experience with waste tracking/manifesting, recordkeeping, submittal preparation, planning/scheduling, and subcontractor oversight and coordination is preferred. Project manager will work directly under senior project manager.

Experience with waste tracking/manifesting, Asbestos recordkeeping, submittal preparation, planning/scheduling, and subcontractor oversight and coordination is preferred. Must be willing to travel. Detailed knowledge of NYCRR 56, NESHAP, and OSHA regulations as they pertain to asbestos and hazardous/universal waste removals and demolition is required.

Responsible for supervising burners and for the overall safety of the construction project that you will be supervising with support of our Corporate Health & Safety Director, on site safety coordinator and superintendent. Travel Required. High Burner

• Understand and navigate the needs of the Total Wrecking Management Team as well as specific Client needs, while simultaneously pushing the safety and quality of work forward to achieve project scheduling milestones
• Responsible for the overall safety of the construction project that you will be supervising with support of our Corporate Health & Safety Director, on site safety coordinator and superintendent
• Responsible for supervising burners
• Be able to torch cut at heights
• Understand and respond appropriately to all safety hazards, safety plans/documents and warning devices
• Safely operate torch cutting equipment to size or dismantle structures during demolition work
• Be motivated and work productively and participate in the safety culture
• Cutting metal to specification with an oxy-propane torch.
• Inspecting torches, flash-back arrestors, hoses, and other components so as to verify their soundness prior to use

This position creates a special opportunity as you will be working in a shared office location with our sister company, Nostra Development and will allow for the opportunity to work for two companies: Total Wrecking and Nostra Development. In this position the administrative assistant will work closely with the Director, CMO and COO. This position leaves much room to grow within the organization based off work performance.
